Mar 13-14 Lake Co: Maple Sugaring Weekend

Lake Metroparks Farmpark, 8800 Chardon Road, Kirtland.
Visitors will take a horse-drawn wagon ride to the Woodland Science Center to witness the entire maple production process as sap is collected, boiled, and turned into maple syrup and other products. Discover how trees are tapped and see the amazing network of the more than 1,000 trees that are tapped for the Farmpark maple sugaring collection. Other activities include making maple stirs and maple-oriented crafts and sampling maple syrup and candy.

The dog owner will receive some basic information on new techniques used in veterinarian medicine involving the health of their pet. A. Use of acupuncture in treating various conditions, B. Advantages and disadvantages of laser surgery, C. Dealing with the geriatric pet, euthanasia, losing a pet, D. Chiropractic practices used. The cost is $10.00. Coffee and donuts at 8:30, class 9:00 am – 12:30 pm. All classes will be held at the Station 3 Fire Hall Social Center on Route 18 North, on the East Side of Conneaut Lake.
